Programs and Services

Treatment is not limited to medication only. Some patients come in primarily for medication to maintain physical stability. Many also require counseling, referrals, or assistance accessing outside resources. Our methadone outpatient treatment center offers more than just medication for opioid addiction.

Our programs

We offer programs that support recovery in different ways, depending on what each patient needs.

Counseling

Counseling gives patients a place to talk through recovery, setbacks, stress, and progress. It supports the emotional and mental side of treatment.

Counseling Program

Gold Star is Star Center's Substance Use Disorder Health Home (SUDHH) Program.

Gold Star is a more hands-on support program for eligible patients who may need help with referrals and connecting to services outside the clinic. This is Star Center’s Substance Use Disorder Health Home (SUDHH) Program.

Assessment and treatment of drug problems

We assess each patient’s history, needs, and treatment goals to help determine the most appropriate path forward.

Methadone therapy services

Methadone therapy is part of outpatient treatment for opioid addiction and may help reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms.

Detoxification and treatment of narcotic addiction

Star Center supports patients seeking treatment for narcotic addiction through structured outpatient care.

Individual counseling

One-on-one counseling helps patients work through the emotional and mental side of recovery.

Patient-centered treatment planning

Treatment plans are built around the individual, with care shaped by each patient’s needs and progress.

Peer recovery support services

Patients may receive added support from peer-based recovery services as part of their care.

Individualized group therapy

Group therapy offers structured support and shared discussion in a treatment setting.

Arts and Crafts Group Therapy

This group offers patients another way to engage, connect, and participate in recovery support.

Women specialty programs

Specialized programming is available to support women in treatment.

Mental health screening, assessment, and referrals

Mental health needs can affect recovery. Screening, assessment, and referrals may be part of care when appropriate.

Complete medical examination and follow-up

Patients may receive medical evaluation and follow-up as part of the treatment process.

Medical and psychiatric referrals when appropriate

When outside care is needed, we help connect patients to the appropriate providers.

Drug screening

Drug screening may be part of intake, treatment, and ongoing care.

Transportation assistance

Transportation support may be available to help reduce barriers to treatment.

Methadone Anonymous

Patients may also have access to recovery support through Methadone Anonymous.
